IP rating (Ingress Protection) is an important standard for evaluating the dust and water resistance of equipment. This standard is developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to provide a unified protection level assessment for electrical equipment. The first number in the IP code indicates the ability to protect against the entry of solid foreign objects, such as fingers or dust, and ranges from 0 to 6; The second number indicates protection against liquid intrusion and ranges from 0 to 9.

A waterproof tablet pc or waterproof panel pc can be identified by the IP Rating. A tablet might be described as IP65 waterproof or IP67 waterproof, but what is the difference? Do I need an IP65 tablet or or IP67? Is the entire panel PC enclosure waterproof or is the screen waterproof?

Images from CT scans, X-rays, MRIs, and other tests come in DICOM, which is a format designed for medical imaging.
